3/26/2023 0 Comments Starcraft 64 split screen![]() The Brood War missions required the use of a Nintendo 64 memory Expansion Pak to run. Resurrection IV is set after the conclusion of Brood War, and follows Jim Raynor embarking on a mission to rescue the Brood War character Alexei Stukov, a vice admiral from Earth who has been captured by the Zerg. The game featured all of the missions from both StarCraft and the expansion Brood War, as well as some exclusive missions, such as two different tutorials and a new secret mission, Resurrection IV. In 2000, StarCraft 64 was released for the Nintendo 64, co-developed by Blizzard Entertainment and Mass Media Inc. On topic though, although I never played this version, here is what wikipedia says about it: I was wondering.did anyone else lovingly struggle through the N64 version of this game? What were your impressions of it at the time?ġ0 years from now, this is going to be one pricey collectors itemÄepends what you mean by pricey, I can't see anyone paying more than 100 bucks for it. A great game, with great communities around it, at a really interesting time for the scene - all sparked, for me, by the N64 game :D Eventually when SC2 came out, I ended up wanting to check it out because of all the good memories, and it evolved into something far more than I'd ever imagined. We never cared to play it for the PC, or actually learn what a 'good' game of SC looked like, we were content being so awesome at 2v2s. We never bothered to make more than 10 - 12 scvs.We spent the first 10 minutes securing the front with bunkers, turrets and tanks, then we dealt with any potential 20 minute mutalisk harass. We loaded up Bloodbath and played 2v2 against 2 easy computers. ![]() ![]() It was just one of the most entertaining games to play. In retrospect, it was awkward, slow, clunky and would been insanely painful for anyone with any semblance of RTS experience to play - but we had no idea of any of that. Back when I was a young teen, I would go over to my friend's house, and we played SC for houuuurs - for the N64.
